We continue with a list of solid excuses and ways to make them in order to avoid a party. There is no need to attend a party you hate, just make a good excuse!
- You Have an Important Family Event
Anything that has to do with your family is a grand excuse. Be it a dinner or a yearly cleanup, you can’t miss it. Perhaps you need to drive your sister to college or babysit your little brother while your parents go to a party of their own.
- You Have to Work
Another excuse that works 100% of the time in any situation. If you are sure that the friends can’t find out whether or not you’ve been called in, use this excuse as many times as you want. Working is always more important than partying, so you don’t have to elaborate on this excuse.
- You Are Sick
Here is another grand excuse that works every time. Be it menstrual cramps, stomach flu, or diarrhea. Whatever you can come up with is great. Just make sure it’s a short-lived problem that doesn’t hinder any of your plans in the future. Telling your coworkers you’ve got chicken pox and then going to work the next day is a bad idea.
- You’ve Got a Delivery
Whether you are waiting for important books, a bike or a letter, it’s a great excuse. You need to stay at home for this one. So don’t use it if you are planning to go out. This is a perfect excuse for the times when you feel like being alone.
- You Are Going Abroad
This complicated excuse requires some planning. It works only for people, who don’t know you too well and won’t expect you to post pics of your trips on Facebook and Instagram.
