Planning an outdoor party might seem more exciting than the indoor one. After all, you spent the whole winter inside and want to enjoy the spring and summer weather. However, before starting the preparations, consider the cons of such party plans. If you decide to arrange an outdoor party anyway, make sure there is always an indoor space to move the guests to.
- The Weather
Yes, the weather is your best friend and the worst enemy. Even if you are 100% sure that it hasn’t rained on your birthday for the past 20 years, the moment you plan an outdoor party, it will. The rain is not the only weather problem you might encounter. A strong wind can happily blow all your decorations away while intense summer heat can cause sunburns, or worse, sunstrokes.
- The Strangers
It’s always hard to predict the way people will act. This doesn’t just go for your guests. When you are arranging an event outdoors, be ready to have strangers passing by and walking in on your celebration. Unless you are safe behind a high fence in your backyard, you can’t be sure that someone won’t come in and ruin the party. Meanwhile, your friend’s cousin might decide to relieve himself behind a tree since he is 100 % sure no one is looking.

Outdoor parties always require much more planning than indoor ones. When you are arranging a party at home or in a venue, everything you need is usually within reach. When you are outside, you need to plan for the weather, the bathrooms, the water, the fridges, and etc. You have to come up with a variety of backup plans. You also need twice as many helpers, who will be responsible for countering the weather attacks.
