Ins and Outs of Hiring A Celebrity for Your Event, Part 2
Below are a few more tips you can appreciate when going out to hire a celebrity for your next event.
- Dig Deeper
The more popular the celebrity is, the more money you will be paying. What is a smart way to hire a very popular celebrity and save some dough? Go back a decade or two. Unless you are throwing a party for teenagers, the people can appreciate the celebrities that were popular when they were in their teens.
Most of such celebrities are slightly outdated but can be a big hit for your audience. The deeper you dig the better deal you can get. Just because the celebrity’s best days of success are long over, it doesn’t mean they are less talented than others.
- Consider the Security
Most of the time the security clause is part of the celebrity-hiring contract. However, you need to understand that the venue should provide reasonable security to a famous person. Since you don’t know all ins and outs of the security matters, it’s better to check out a few of such contracts before choosing a venue. At the very least, the place you rent should have an easy entrance and an easy exit. Also, consider a place with a back door.
- Discuss Photos and Videos
While some of your guests might want to take a selfie with a celeb, the performer might also want to send some photos to social media. You have to discuss such possibilities beforehand. Some celebrities might not agree to have their picture taken with each one of your 70 guests while you might not want to have your private party streamed to millions of followers. Include all such agreements into the contract.
