Everyone likes to sing, so a karaoke party is bound to be a success. You need a certain approach to make it fun for everyone who sings as well as for the rest of the guests, who are watching the show. Here are a few things you need to prepare to make your next karaoke party smashing and memorable.
- Set Up the Equipment
There is a big variety of karaoke machines available at the stores or online. However, you don’t really need to waste money on one of them. There are plenty of apps available for your computer or smartphone that function just as good as the special machine.
Of course, a real karaoke machine can make your party décor look much more impressive than the smartphone plugged into a TV. So all depends on your budget. Make sure to test how the app works before the guests arrive.
- Think About The Décor
Without the right décor, your karaoke party can turn into a boring singing lesson. Think about the following decorations:
- The stage – throw a rug or a blanket on the floor to separate “the stage” from the rest of the room. Have a curtain hanging on the wall behind the stage to create a background.
- The lights – The easiest way to go about the lights is to create a spotlight that will shine on the singer. Consider getting strobe lights as well.
- Tables – If you have a chance to bring in a few round tables for the guests to sit at, you’ll make the atmosphere seem even more authentic.
- The bar – A karaoke bar should serve drinks. So consider buying the ingredients for cocktails and asking one of your friends to mix them.
