How To Throw A Magnificent Karaoke Party, Part 2
We continue sharing tips that can make your karaoke party a big hit with the least effort. Let’s take a look.
- Play Games
A karaoke party shouldn’t be all about singing. Otherwise, your guests will get bored very fast, especially those, who are not fans of singing. There are many different games you can take advantage of. Here are a few:
- Guess the singer. You have to make a playlist of various songs, including oldies and movie soundtracks. Have the guests guess the singer. Whoever guesses the most gets a prize.
- Name the song in 5 seconds. Make a playlist and play just the first 5 seconds of each song. The guests have to guess which song it is. Pick two winners and allow them to have a battle guessing the most songs after 3 seconds.
- Guess the rock star. Write down rock stars’ names on small pieces of paper and hand them to the guests when they arrive. Each guest has to act in a way that should help others guess which rock star he or she portrays.
- Appoint Judges
Have a board of at least three judges who will evaluate the singers’ performance. They should rate each singer on the scale from one to five. Then the sum of the three numbers should be entered into a table with the singers’ names. Whoever gets the most points wins. If you have many people invited, you can name three winners. Each one should get a prize.
- Think about the Sound
The sound is one of the most important things about the karaoke party. You don’t want the songs to annoy the listeners and rob them of a chance to mingle. Consider getting a surround sound system with a tube amplifier for the best sound quality.
