How To Throw A Grand Picnic Party, Part 2
We continue sharing tips to help you throw the best picnic party ever. Picnic party is a rite of passage. Don’t avoid it this summer!
What to Cook
While food is not one of the major parts of some parties, great dishes for picnics are a must-have. Cooking for a picnic is a little complicated since you have to keep the food fresh on the trip to the park and make sure it doesn’t perish under the sun.
- Salad Wraps
Salad wraps are a perfect replacement for standard salads in a bowl. You can come up with any salad you wish and place it into a wrap. This easy-to-it food is bound to be a hit.
- Fresh Fruits
Fruits are easy to transport and they don’t require any special treatment except for washing. Go for apples, pears, peaches, and whatever else looks good without cutting and slicing.
- Cookies
Be it chocolate chip, peanut butter or sugar cookies, they can make an amazing dessert. Forget about the cake. It’s bound to fall down and ruin someone’s clothes. Besides, it can be hard to transport.
- Carrot Muffins
If you are a fan of healthy food, carrot muffins are great for a picnic. You can make them bite size.
What to Drink
If it’s hot out, you have to make sure to bring enough non-alcoholic drinks to your party. In order to save space in your portable fridge, consider cocktails. Bringing cocktail ingredients to the picnic site is easier than carrying large bottles of beer (which is bound to get warm fast) or wine.
Mixing cocktails on the grass is fun and doesn’t take a long time. If you want to save some money, go for cheap cocktail options.
