How to Throw an Amazing Pool Party: What To Buy
If you want your pool party to go smoothly, you need to take care of the various paraphernalia you don’t need to worry about at the parties that don’t involve water. This can mean some extra expenses for your party planning. However, it’s better to save on the décor than to miss the below things at your party. The absence of some of them can spell disaster.
- Extra stuff
Even though your guests know that they are planning to attend a pool party, at least a couple are bound to forget the essentials, such as towels and flip-flops. Always have some of this stuff ready to accommodate the forgetful guests. Consider offering sunscreen to them as well.
- Changing rooms
Since your guests need to change into bathing suits, you need to have a couple rooms especially for that. Changing in the bathroom is inconvenient. Designate one or two of your bedrooms as changing rooms for the time of the party. Arrange some space for your guests to leave their belongings as well.
- Shade
If you are planning your pool party on a hot and sunny afternoon, you need to make sure that there is enough shade for the guests to hide from the sun. Not everyone is ready to enjoy the UV rays for hours at a time.
- Inflatables
Make sure you have plenty of inflatable stuff to play around with. Chairs, toys, and balls can make the pool party even more fun.
- Depth
If you are not sure how well the guests can swim, use waterproof tape to mark the depth of your pool. This can save some people from diving while making others take advantage of floats and life vests.
