This is a less popular option, which allows the guests to come to your join whenever they wish. Usually these parties don’t have strict time limitations however, the planning hassles are not reduced. This is a good option for guests with different schedules who can’t always make it on time. Such parties usually start during the day and end in the evening without running into the night.
Open house parties are great for a graduation celebration, holidays, and other occasions that don’t just focus on a celebration in one place. The guests are not obliged to stay for a long time. They can just drop in for a couple of minutes or a few hours.
Open House Party
Pros:
- You don’t have to do plan entertainment or activities since there is no way to know how long the guests can stay.
- You can limit the time the party lasts so there won’t be any people staying way into the night.
- All you have to worry about is food and drink. The rest of the party can proceed on its own. However, you don’t need to come up with any complicated meals. Appetizers and desserts can do the trick.
- You can have some time to enjoy the party and socialize with friends/acquaintances since you won’t be constantly busy with organizational matters.
Cons:
- Open house parties mostly last all day so you might be pretty exhausted by the end.
- You need to accommodate a big number of guests so you’ll be spending a lot of time on saying “hellos” and “goodbyes”.
- Just as with the home parties, you risk a certain damage to your property.
