Mistakes to Avoid When Planning an Outdoor Event, Part 1
The summer is in full swing and you are making big party plans. Unfortunately, most people don’t realize how many problems may be waiting for them outdoors. If you want your outdoor event to be perfect, you need to consider many more things than you would for a house party. Let’s take a look at the mistakes you should try to avoid.
- Not Planning for Shelter
If you believe that the rain is the only thing that can ruin your party, you are mistaken. Scorching sun can do it just as well. Perfect weather for outdoor parties is very rare and you have too few chances to see it the day you plan your event for. That’s why you always have to plan for some tent or roof in order to protect your guests from the rain/sun.
- Leaving the Food Under the Sun
The food is ready and served and you can forget about it, right? Bad idea! Dairy products, cakes, desserts, and meat can spoil very quickly under the sun. Even if you have a tent, hot weather can have a negative effect on a variety of party food.
That’s why you have to watch the dishes and put them into the refrigerator. Allow the guests full access to the fridge, so they can take the food out anytime they want. Leaving it on the table can lead to stomach aches.
- Forgetting About Insects
Insects are the most irritating unwanted guests at your outdoor party. They don’t just try to attack your food, they bite, sting, and act very annoying. You need to have special covers for the food, as well as bug spray, and zappers ready to wage war on the insects. Otherwise, your guests might be leaving too soon.
