5 DIY Party Favors
Party favors are an essential part of any special occasion that you want to become memorable. When guests take a favor home, they get something to remind them of the event they attended. If you are on a tight budget or hiring entertainment and caterers emptied out your wallet, you can use these simple DIY ideas to make the party even more fun. Anything you create on your own is much more memorable than something you buy at the store.
- Fun Test Tubes
You can buy empty test tubes in IKEA and fill them up with different tea. Attach pieces of paper with the date and the description of the occasion to the cork or glue them around the tubes.
- Flowers in Pots
If you have succulents in your home, these party favors can grow on their own. Break off branches and place them in tiny flowerpots. In about a week, they’ll grow roots and become great gifts. Attach a piece of paper with the occasion details to the pot.
- Cookie Jars
Buy small jars and place a cookie mix inside them. Glue a tag with the occasion description to the lid or the jar itself. You can do the same with small candies and bubble gum.
- Cocktail Mixes
Buy the smallest hard liquor bottles and attach them with a string to a Cola or Sprite can. Tie a straw to the bottle to create a great cocktail kit. While this is not a long-lasting party favor, the guests are bound to remember it for a while.
- Chocolates
Buy chocolate bars, get the original cover off and create your own. All you need to do is print the occasion description and the date on a piece of colorful paper and use it to wrap the chocolate.
